About the product

Why we built FOUND

Job searching has become fragmented. Candidates track roles in notes apps, copy links into spreadsheets, forget which CV they sent where, and lose momentum because the process itself is exhausting.

Windfeld Jensen Co. built FOUND for people who need structure and emotional breathing room, not another platform optimised for networking performance or endless scrolling.

What FOUND is

FOUND is a personal job hunt operating system accessed through the browser. Users save roles, move applications through clear stages, log timeline events, set reminders, review light analytics, and manage documents and CV versions from one calm workspace.

Job statuses cover the full search journey: saved, applied, interview, follow-up, ghosted, rejected, and offer, with history preserved at every change.

Core modules:

  • Dashboard with overview of active search activity
  • Job tracker with drag-and-drop Kanban board
  • Timeline of events per application
  • Reminders for follow-ups, interviews, and CV updates
  • Light analytics and optional mood check-in

Structure without the noise of traditional job platforms

Modern job searching often happens across tabs, spreadsheets, inboxes, and platforms built for visibility rather than clarity. The result is constant context switching, missed follow-ups, and stress that has little to do with ability and everything to do with chaos.

FOUND is built around one question: does this reduce chaos and stress? Every feature is designed to give job seekers a calmer operating system for the process, not another feed to perform in.

The visual identity follows the same principle: muted charcoal, warm off-whites, and soft forest green, calm like tools built for focus rather than engagement metrics.

What that means in practice:

  • One place for saved jobs, applications, and next steps
  • Status history and timeline instead of guessing where things stand
  • Reminders for follow-ups, interviews, and deadlines
  • Optional mood check-ins that acknowledge the human side of searching

Who it is for

FOUND is for job seekers who want clarity and continuity, whether they are changing roles, returning to the market, or managing multiple parallel processes.

Especially useful if you:

  • Apply to many roles and lose track of status
  • Need reminders for follow-ups and interview prep
  • Want to link CV versions to specific applications
  • Prefer calm tools over noisy social job platforms

Core capabilities

FOUND combines tracking, planning, and reflection in one product built for long-running personal workflows.

Job tracker and pipeline

Applications are organised in a Kanban-style board with drag-and-drop between stages. Each job stores company details, links, notes, salary, location, recruiter contact, deadlines, and full status history so nothing disappears when the search gets busy.

Timeline and reminders

Timeline events capture what happened and when for each application. Reminders support follow-ups, interviews, deadlines, CV updates, and custom tasks, linked to jobs where relevant.

Documents and CV versions

Users can manage CV versions and application documents, attach files to specific jobs, and keep track of which materials were used where. This reduces the common mistake of sending the wrong version or losing track of attachments.

Analytics and mood check-in

Light analytics offer insight into search activity without turning the process into a performance dashboard. An optional mood check-in acknowledges that job searching is emotionally demanding and helps users notice patterns over time.

What comes next

FOUND is actively evolving. Authentication and subscription infrastructure are prepared in the data model, with Google sign-in via Auth.js and Stripe integration planned for premium tiers.

A browser extension is in development to save jobs from listing pages directly into the tracker, reducing manual copy-paste during daily searching.

Planned capabilities:

  • Full authentication and user accounts
  • Stripe subscriptions for premium features
  • Browser extension for one-click job saving
  • Deeper analytics and search insights

What makes it different

Job boards optimise for listings and employer reach. Professional networks optimise for visibility and social proof. Spreadsheets optimise for flexibility but offer no guidance, reminders, or emotional context.

FOUND optimises for the job seeker's inner workflow: less chaos, clearer next steps, and a product that respects how draining the process can be.

Technology

Modern web stack built for focus and reliability

FOUND is developed as a full-stack Next.js application with a typed data model, secure authentication, and a UI optimised for calm daily use.

Technology stack:

  • Next.js 16 and React 19: App Router and server components
  • TypeScript and Tailwind CSS 4: type-safe UI and styling
  • Framer Motion: subtle, calm interface motion
  • @dnd-kit: drag-and-drop job tracker board
  • Prisma 7 and PostgreSQL: jobs, reminders, documents, and subscriptions
  • Auth.js (NextAuth v5): Google OAuth and session handling
  • Stripe: subscription billing (in progress)
  • Browser extension: planned Plasmo-based job capture
